Background
A committed, enthusiastic, pragmatic and educated group of young persons, has observed that huge malpractices in all the sectors of the country to their ideological belief. Scarcity of job opportunity, lack of entrepreneurial support and inadequate back up for the underprivileged people has made them more vulnerable. Hence, the major community remains distressed in spite of having enormous potential human resource development scope. According to the understanding the problems the young peoples initiated with a strong linkage with grassroots' poor people, assembled together to eradicate the above problems from the society since 1994. Initially, ADAMS started specific development to some extremely distressed persons with substantial support. But soon it became manifested to be very inadequate and ephemeral. So, we sensed urgent to have legal status and human resource development initiatives to hammer on the deep-rooted impediments.
At the time of starting programs in the above aspects, the organization faced a tangled situation and necessity of intervention in socio-economic development, poverty reduction, environment consciousness, health, sanitation promotion, other relevant sectors and skill based education came in question. So, ADAMS began integrated program for total development without let any option left. The motto of ADAMS is to bring about a positive change in existing state of affairs-irrespective of class, caste, creed and gender. The organization is likely to be used as a platform for materialization of the dream - the dream of a democratic society within a stable eco system-based on economic equity, social justice and proper human resource development. The aim of ADAMS's development efforts is not merely to achieve sustainable economic uplift for its beneficiaries - but also to revive lost moral values and arouse dormant human potentialities in a state of democratic, just and conscious society. ADAMS works in the method of using program-based and participatory model to improve skills of ADAMS management in strategic planning, program and financial management, monitoring and evaluation as well. Due to political instability, limited financial and human resources, and also mismanagement of limited resources, the ability of the government is obstructed to deliver the basic services to the nation as a whole. Over the past 28 years, ADAMS has proved as reputed organization at the regional level. The organization has already proved its commitment for "Transforming Human Deprivation into Human Development" to the excellences of its donor agencies.

Approach
ADAMS initially focused on hard-core poor and underprivileged people of both rural and urban area bringing about positive change in their attitude and place them in the main walk of the society. Over the year we have moved towards integrated programs to transform human deprivation into human resources undertaking development initiatives and resilience.
Given priority to the under privileged people of both rural and urban area of our work enables us tackle the root causes of poverty and inequality. Working with diversified people, partners, donors and civil society platforms and reaching millions of beneficiaries, ADAMS creates lasting change by strengthening marginalized, excluded and ultra-poor communities. We provides livelihood support for Income Generating Activities (IGAs) of poor people including women through integrated start-up capital support program.
Our dedicated team implement programs that encompass sustainable livelihood, capacity building, and education program for both adult and child, health & WATSAN, climate change adaptation and mitigation, food security, disaster management and emergency response with the support of valued partners, donors including government agencies of Bangladesh.
All our activities are under pinned by right-based approach and empowerment of youth including women.
